I think it looks good with the lamp. I think so. This is without the lamps were not like on this is like dark, nobody could see I think it looks better with.
Alright that's fine, um OK so.
Well, how do you How do I go to to make all these show up for me you just click control slides?
No, that's just the opening so the way is going to talk about like typical program stuff except to do next steps what they can do when you get to visit Skoda things a second one or 31 sorry.
When you get the visits this is where you come in.
I want to talk a little bit about each different option and what it would mean coming from the student perspective and then you say, Oh shadow days are a great opportunity for you to blah blah blah blah blah and so on, and so forth so then she moves on.
Different things then you guys can start to sort of just making more natural so you can talk about like your experience of choosing like what's the visiting was like for you? How you came to make that decision as to where you are now and then we get today will have an abundance of questions, especially since you're a student they will have an abundance of questions. But yeah, there were not even relate to next steps will be like? What does the flu? Feel free to answer any of them that you're comfortable?
Yeah, I will show you say, I'll click them in here. Once I approve them channel or you will read them and then you can answer them on air. If there's anything that is like short and sweet that can type I'll type it back in the one 6 as well.
How long do you think if you had estimated how long should it last I would say if you can get through all of this part in 10 minutes, you should be good by 6:45.
This shouldn't take you too long unless they actually have questions about the 30 minutes worth of questions. There are 75 people signed up. I imagine there will probably be some of them will be long drawn out questions. Some of them will just continue to ask stupid questions.
It's more so playing it by air, especially because these are all reactions students as well to their two deposits. But one of 'em is Charlie's daughter the other one, I think is an athlete so.
OK so it's just like a link that sent all this, yeah, so they can sign up for the any point in time. But it never goes live until 6:00 o'clock so there's a countdown here as well. That will let you guys know when it's going to life so we have 35 minutes until it goes live so.
And I'll be back here by like 555.
Is there anything that you want to like?
Usually think of stuff on the fly. I think I also think you'll be fine. Yeah, I'm trying to go over in my head.
Here we're going to introduce ourselves OK I'll let you introduce yourself.
Sounds good. I'll be super congratulatory hopefully it'll fahnbulleh.
the last online event that I did it was just me here all by myself.
Was it would have been fine because it was like a very simple event. It was like? Yeah, I was supposed to like.
So that she had a Camera, yeah, I go in at his office.
So it's like 15 hours, 20 minutes starting and I'm like.
Scare me did you find that I ended up using my laptop thanks Oh my God?
Yeah, freaking out and select the first five in this office.
That's right now is here just said lucky like that, it was, it was my own fault for not confirming.
Right so I believe there so yeah.
I don't think that this is going to be that yeah, we can see ourselves so that's already confirmed that there's a Camera, the cat part is done.
Think of things to highlight this is so small.
Cool, cool, cool, so this has accepted soon open houses shadow days information sessions and all the facts.
Each of those what are they accepted students days Saturdays?
What is ALS? Yeah, open house and then the online events and then just like regular campus visits so you focus on you.
I mean, I can the only one I don't know much about is the online events which is this is what their attacks what they're doing so. I don't even need to really say much but I guess they figured that one out information sessions and tours.
Yeah, it's not hard. The open house dates are are they all accepted students February. March any role in Sunday 15th March 14th April 18 right? No.
You got it got it got it, I just sent out.
Yeah, it's like it's so pretty sure registration is open for the February 1.
Or maybe just the February while check Kelly would now.
So here yeah, Kelly Slater Anandi.
I think we'll be fine, I'm.
This is like the whole checklist of things, yeah, we're not gonna go through this. I always like talking about pre fall. If you did, you do it?
Do you know something love you?
Not in others, the visit Baltimore, one they do their Zoe outdoor adventure experience, they really kind.
I don't know I don't know like how many there are like with all of the options are neither do I you probably know way more than I say it's a great way to come to campus early and meet me news today and you could do like an outdoor one, yeah, you could do something right.
Those are the only 2 right now that's more than 2 examples.
Go online and sign up for one else, although.
Talk about 340, yeah, I mentioned.
And then it's like that's really bad it. I'm gonna say. And then what did he say he wanted us to talk about just your experience?
40 years ago, wow graduating.
I'm not playing for jobs.
So it's hard to believe but.
It was your major political science.
The time to be joy, Poly side.
It's always interesting yeah.
Uhm I was working in Chuck Schumer's office last semester. Glad I'm not there today. Because IBM pouring his phones ideas running. Maybe chat so like Oh wow don't wanna be doing that.
But that was fun, so like I don't know. Maybe I'll end up back in Capitol Hill.
Well, at least you can say that you have options. Yeah, you have experience, which I think is a lot more than some people can say yeah, so hopefully we'll see.
Children under 5 Russians are amazing house.
Stuff like that I personally feel like it 'cause my feet. I feel like I go through things really quickly, so I'm like.
No, I don't, either I hope it's not yeah.
But so I guess like do you like the parents and like their kids just like watch it together and it's cute probably? I bet some of these are just going to be straight up here. I'm sure.
So do you think you want to change the chairs you feel like this is good? I'm happy with the chairs?
Yeah, probably just hang out here OK.
You're welcome to go through that region stuff OK sounds good.
If you tell them that they will still have the specified.
Check and make sure the screen didn't go off.
Sit down right now, but I
The UM February obviously is open, but the March 1. Opens January 28th in the April 1 opens February 20, down.
And I was going to say so. Are there specific questions. You want me to ask you. I don't know if you wanna ask a question and answer it OK. I guess I must questions I'm trying to think.
No, I mean, I don't want to ask you a question and you be like not prepared right exactly. I don't know if you think about trying to think of some now obviously like? How did you decide yeah?
Maybe like not the same question.
'Cause I was like what factors did you use it internally?
What are some questions I should ask for backup?
To get a student perspective.
Your internship is really cool.
So I'm not gonna say, I'm not gonna say no.
No, I will say yeah, OK, yeah, I think that's perfect.
And in fact that you're from the area in Chester come here it's worth mentioning. Yeah.
Like how did I choose little mention it there?
And you like right, yeah, really good answers for all of them.
To make the most of your?
7 Semesters and one week, so yeah, I would say I mean, ours too.
I'm talking abroad if people questions about that.
Jack of all trades this wondering go also.
I do not get tonight in time Clock.
I'm paying you for tonight, OK sounds good.
Sounds good. So you may see that you worked a lot of hours, I made the money.
I think I'm gonna ask the classic what something you wish you knew.
Right I feel like that's one of those ones.
I'm trying to think I think there are a lot of things, I'm showing that I'm gonna try to pick like?
Yeah, I'm glad you just throw that one out.
If I think of some other stuff I'll tell you.
What are the one of the ones that I get it's always hard to answer is like? What's one thing you could change about Loyola. But my answer. Now I have one now OK. I didn't for awhile, but you want me to ask you and you want to just get it out of the way I'm sending someone on here my apps.
I have answered It used to be about the shuttle situation how we didn't have a shuttle that went out of town, but now we're getting one so.
Cortana do you like cows?
They're in the process. I think about very good don't you hate that when they get stuff right when you're leaving that's yeah.
Yeah, they have this beautiful brand new site. Where is this you only say?
So they probably get to take all the nice classes in the yeah, so gorgeous.
Yeah, I did just see the building, yeah.
Yeah, sure enjoy it thanks see you later.
I just want I think channel is coming back in a second so we're all set.

I'm an admission representative here in the office.
My name is Rebecca Vincent I'm a current senior here at Loyola Political science major on a pre law. Track fantastic so obviously it's in the title. Hello, If you are having technical difficulties please let us know. Please make sure you are using an optimal browser (Chrome or firefox)
You're going to respond in the chat or out, loud, if we don't answer your question at all. That is not mean that we didn't see it. We might reach out to you separately. But we want to try and get there as many questions as possible so with that, we can go ahead and get started the first thing that I want to talk about is admitted student page. Right so if anyone watching if you have not seen this page please. Go take a look at it because this has a lot of great resources as you can see this is the URL appear so you just go to Loyola.
Dot Edu Slash Hounds 2020 for each page is personalized so it's going to have your name is going to say congratulations 'cause. We really want you to know that we are thrilled to have you as potential students and we hope that you choose. Leola we would be thrilled to have you as students at Loyola. This page is also where you're going to find next steps. It's also where you can submit your deposit right so if you do choose to come to Loyola right there in that Top corner. That's where you can go ahead and submit your deposit.
When you go to this page and you Scroll down you're going to see important next steps. So we're going to talk through a few of these first one of the most important steps is visiting the University. If you haven't already. I think that this is really one of the best ways to get a feel for the school as a whole to really figure out whether it's the right thing is visiting and we'll talk a little bit more about our different visit opportunities that we have another very, very important step is applying for financial aid.
Right so if you haven't already please. Please apply because the vast majority of our students received something in financial aid. We use, both the Fasa and the CSS S profile. So I know a lot of people are familiar with the Fasa. But the CSS S profile is slightly different. It's through College Board and it asks more nuanced questions to get outta families full need so again everyone should apply if you have questions about like the.
Deadlines that you see on the website those deadlines are just priority so if you did not submit your FAFSA already. It's completely fine. You can still receive financial aid. But definitely go ahead and do that sooner rather than later. The next step. If you choose right submit your pots deposit. You have until May 1, so you have a lot of time to figure it out and then Lastly contact your admission counselor right so you probably have a whole bunch of emails from your counselor so you probably know who they are. Feel free to reach out to them via email via Phone specifically myself, I work with student.
From Northern North and central New Jersey as well as Maryland. Howard County and Montgomery County and DC so interview from those areas high on your admission counselor you are. Welcome to reach out to me, even if I'm not your counselor. You're not going to reach out to me. So yeah next. I want to like I said talk a little bit more about our visit opportunities. We have alot. Rebecca here works in our office so she has a lot of experience with all the different visit opportunities we have so feel free to.
Time in on the different ones that we have.
Yeah, so 1st we have the regular visit right so um just like if you wanted to come attend a information session. You could do that do you have any thoughts? When I guess what? The value is on just attending with regular you know info session? Yeah, so that's kind of a basic overview of everything loyal like is you know review of our admission statistics. It gives you an overview of just kind of some of the opportunities that you'll have here is a student. It's a nice little like 45 minute condense boil 101 and then you get to go out on tour after that with one of our Greyhound in Master.
And so far, you'll get to see our campus and ask any questions that you have to our students.
I would say it's also nice if you don't have like a lot of time to devote to the visit. It's also a really nice introduction to the University so if you've never visited before I say a general visit is a great opportunity. We also are going to be having some accepted student open houses were going to be having 3 one in February 1. In March in one in April. I think that those are obviously also a great way to to learn more about the University and so do you have any anything? Yeah, those are a lot of fun there?
Get apartment overview of every different Department, you have different breakout sessions where you can look at a specific Department that you might be interested in as a student here will get to chat with professors chat with students get another kind of overview of our campus be able to walk around so it's more of an in depth. Look, I would say those are always a lot of fun. Actually, I'll also highlight for people were like. Oh, we're going to we've already taken the tool or stuff like that when at the accepted student open houses. If you want to just take a tour of the dorms and not the whole campus.
You have the opportunity to do that as well. It's also a great time to just meet other students who could potentially be your your you know fellow Greyhounds in the next year or so, so definitely a great opportunity to consider I'll also talk about shadow days right so if you visit it already or even if you have it, but you want to get more of like a hands-on experience attended classes like that I would say consider a shadow day.
Those are always a lot of fun, too, so if there's a specific class that you might be interested in you be able to sit on that in on that class, you went a college classes like you're loyal, you get the chance to chat with one of our Greyhound ambassadors get coffee with them. Just kind of hang out get a feel for the school and then if there's a specific area. If you've been here on tour before, but you missed it last time and you're interested in seeing that. One of our Greyhound bachelors would be more than happy to take you around that area, so you residence halls things like that.
Yeah, and it's obviously the The Shadow Day is a great opportunity for students parents if you come along with your students. You are more than welcome to peruse campus right you can attend an information session, while your student is doing the shadow day so you could explore Baltimore right there are a lot of things you can do while they're attending the shadow day and then obviously the last one is online events. If you're watching then you are already highly aware of our online events. We're going to be having.
A number of events throughout the fall at the coming months. They I think are a great opportunity to learn about specific things were going to have them related to financial aid. Different departments are going to host some so definitely stay tuned for the upcoming online events will be having anything else to add no about events. Fantastic so to move. I'm trying to think of anything. I wanted to add Oh if you miss an online event that you wanted to see we actually are going to post the recordings.
Of um these the the online events later so even if you're watching this now, but you know forgot to take a note on something you want to look at it later. You can access this annual see the recording so feel free to.
Watch Alicia so yeah, the next thing so kind of actually to back it up on this page right here. The important next steps. There's a button at the bottom that's going to say already deposited. Question mark see the the new student checklist. You can actually click on this button, even if you haven't deposited so you can access this just to see what next steps might look like so when you click on that it's going to take you to this page, which has a number of different things that you're going to be doing.
After you deposit uhm. I'm not going to go through all these this is actually the full list of all the things that you're going to find on that page. But some things that I will highlight right so first you're loyal email address. Once you do decide to deposit. We will be communicating with you solely through that email address. So we're not going to send it to your school email or your Gmail. Whatever you've been using everything is going to go straight to the email address, so definitely be aware of that, especially.
Especially because we're going to be sending an important information there. Some other things, I'll highlight the placement test so of course I guess I should say that none of these things are things you need to worry about right now right so you're a senior you are worrying about finishing your senior year. Please take the time to do that. You know, relax enjoy being admitted to your schools. You don't have to worry about a lot of this stuff until months down the line. So we're just telling you these things just so that you can be aware of that.
Well figure placement test something I'll point out is that you are able to take the placement test more than once right. So when you're doing that there don't feel too much pressure at the same time, though, you want to make sure that you're being honest, you know on the test because the placement is going to determine where?
Uhm you what level of an area you're gonna end up in once you come to Leola so that's and then keep in mind. One other thing I'll point out on this list are pre fall programs. I like talking about these things because they might get lost in this huge list of things that we have here but the pre fault programs are I think a really nice opportunity to come to the campus early to meet your fellow classmates and get a lot of different opportunities do you want to chime in on the pre fall program sure so I didn't do it pretty fall myself but I do have lots of friends that did them.
Absolutely loved them so the two that stick out to me right off the Top of my head outdoor adventure experience or Oh, a if you're into like kayaking and outdoorsy stuff like that. You will have the chance to come to campus. A couple days early. and I believe the program goes out into like an outdoorsy area and explores a little bit does lots of activities. So it's a great way to kind of meet people with similar interests as you right off the bat another one that comes to mind is the visit. Baltimore one so if you maybe art from the area. I just want to see more of it.
Baltimore has to offer one of the pre fall options is for you to go out and explore. Some of the restaurants in cool areas. the Baltimore has to offer so you'll be all set to explore at the beginning your first share fantastic. So yeah, that is really all the biggest steps because Rebecca is here and she obviously is a current student. We also felt like this would be a great time to kind of pick her brain and kind of give you more the student perspective. I have a list of questions right here. So if you see me looking down that's what I'm looking at.
Well, the 1st question, I want to ask you is I guess. How did you decide that Loyola was the right school for you? Yeah, so um so I'm actually from the Baltimore area and I wanted to say in Baltimore. I did apply to schools that were in other areas as well. But I really liked the oil was in Baltimore. There alot opportunities here, so that was something I was looking for was the amount of opportunities that the school had to offer that I was looking at, I really like the size of Loyola. So we've run 4000 undergraduate students. It's not too small, not too vague. It's kind of like perfect in between size.
Where you know a lot of people but there are always more people to meet which is really nice. I could kind of tell as soon as I visited campus. I know this sounds super cliche, but everyone was really welcoming right off the bat. I'm a big believer in kind of that, like gut feeling got intuition feeling and I just felt anyway. I actually decided. I was coming here about a week after I got accepted so I knew I knew pretty quickly.
Fantastic fantastic, yeah, no, I think when you said fit is really important to feel again. I think leading to why it's so important to visit the school because sometimes you step on a campus and you just feel it and you just know that that's the place where you want and our campus is beautiful if you haven't been here yet.
Beautiful um so my next question is what are some I guess the opportunities. You've you've had or things that you were able to do with your time here, yeah, yeah, so it's hard to believe it's almost over. So aside from all the awesome classes. And things like that that I've done here. I did study abroad. My junior year that was a lot of fun so actually a year ago. Tomorrow, I left for Cape Town, South Africa. I was there for 5 months. I was able to take classes that count toward my degree audit here at Loyola.
Best experience it was so cool lots of different study abroad options and that's something that you are interested in. I also had an internship this past semester. So I'm a political science student like I mentioned earlier and right now. I'm kind of in that job hunt. I'm thinking probably law down down the road. But I want to get some work experience beforehand so this past semester. I was actually in turning on Capitol Hill in the USN it. That was a lot of fun. So the next thing once I was able to count that for class credit here Loyola that internship.
Was 2 days a week? I had my classes on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays and then I would commute to Washington DC. There's a mark train that runs right from Penn Station. Not too far down the road from us and will actually paid for my transportation there so that was a really cool experience, I mean, aside from that just the friends I've made here like I said, I live about 30 minutes up the road so I'm not too far away but.
My parents know when I'm at loyal love that loyal. I have my group of friends here. I have always something going on so there's been lots of amusing opportunities.
Um so another question that I have for you, um will be what's something you wish you knew.
Going into college like before yeah, yeah, I think.
I would say this one thing I wish I knew was like not to be so nervous. I was like freaking out about coming to college kind of transitioning from high school thought it was going to be super tough transition and you know it is a transition. That's something you have to get used to. It's definitely like a new phase of your life is different from high school, but there's so much support. I think I like wasn't expecting there to be as much support necessarily as there was so I would have told myself to just relax a little bit take it easy not.
Not to worry too much to be prepared in to take the steps you need to take but lacks a little bit. Everything's going to be OK. There's you know your advisors here you have like the first year programs that kind of make it a smooth transition. Now I know I didn't. I didn't write this question now but then.
Haley

What areas require placement exams?
Do you wanna talk a little bit more I guess about the Cena and what that was like having that as I guess a support system? Absolutely yeah, so I'm ascena for those who don't know it's our first year kind of living learning program that we have here at Loyola and So what that entails is you're going to have a group of around 15 students that you're in the same class like same class group within the fallen in the spring. So you'll be taking 2 courses one in the fall, one in the spring. That same group of 15 to 16 students. So you get to know them really well there a nice Little League support group right off the bat that you have.
Haley
05:16:29 PM
Also, how diverse and LGBTQ friendly is campus?
You also with that have your teacher for those classes and at first professor that you're going to have is your advisor until you declare your major here so there a great support system. If you have any questions. You have an Evergreen, which is like an upperclassman meant to wear so it's a sophomore, junior senior who knows the ropes of loyal and knows how to do everything and there, a great resource just for any questions that you have other academic or personal questions. You know things like that. There are really great support system. A lot of times. Massena groups will take trips so.
Did a little trip to Washington DC. One day a couple of my friends like 1 to their professors houses for dinner and things like that so.
Yeah, so there was a lot of fun. It was a really great support system for the first year. Are you still friends with people who have some actually still living with people on my machine.
I know that's the case for a lot of people so we definitely do keep those connections. Pretty often awesome awesome. It looks like we do have some questions please. Please feel free to ask questions. That's what we're here for but our 1st question looks like our what areas require placement exams. It's two areas. It's Max you're going to take one for that and then language so we do require once you're here, you are required to go up to the 104 level in a language so basically you would take the placement test.
And wherever uh you lantic within that exam is going to determine what lovely start at so some people might start out at 101 right? That means you're going to be taking 4. Semesters of language. Some people might land at 103 right, which might mean you're only taking one or 2 semesters. But those are the 2 areas again. You can take the test multiple times. But you do want to be as honest on the exam because if you look at some stuff ahead of time and you don't actually know the information and you land at 104.
Jake
05:18:02 PM
What would you say made your transition to college easier?
Eliana
05:18:05 PM
Even though Loyola is Catholic, are there any spaces or communities for Protestants too?
Kristen
05:18:06 PM
Haley with my question :)
Right you're not prepared for that level, then that might be a detriment to you so things to keep in mind, um another question, we have is how diverse?
Q Friendly is campus. Obviously, I'm going to let you like you know speak to that 'cause you're a current student. But I would say we are one in 4. Students is a student of color here out Loyola. I think something else that I enjoy talking about because I'm also from Baltimore is that you gain our community. But you also gain a community within the overall Baltimore area and the Baltimore is such a diverse place. We're surrounded by so many schools. Morgan states around the corner Tausan University is just North.
Some of us, so there are a lot of different communities that you, you join when you come to Loyola. We also have a number of very inclusive organizations on our campus for members of the LGB. Tikku community or allies and there, a lot. I think of opportunities to get involved. That way as well. Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. There are a lot of organizations here for students of color for students who might identify with LGB T community. So those are all things that are available for our students here on campus and just kind of echo that point about Baltimore like I said.
Corrinne
05:19:31 PM
What exactly are placement exams?
Tippy
05:19:31 PM
Can you go through the process of declaring for a major?
I'm a Baltimore girl. I love it here. Uhm so it's it's really nice that you're getting the loyal community, engaging that community at large are students frequently you know go out into Baltimore to eat and things like that, so it's something that we're really focused on engaging with our community and a lot of different ways, and like doing service and other things like that.
So definitely I would also say if you've never been to Baltimore at all please. Please again visit. I know I'm like harping on it, but um coming and visiting just Baltimore in general. I feel like really opens. I think changes your perspective. You've never been here before because there are so there's so much culture here. That's great food and lots of things to do.
Explore Baltimore, one thing to add to that real quick, so I'm about to graduate and so all my friends.
Next steps and all of that and most of my friends are not from the state of Maryland or from the Baltimore area and I'd say almost all of them are actually choosing to stay in Baltimore after graduation, and start their careers here. That's something that's pretty common for our alums as well on they tend to stay in the Baltimore community just because there's so much to offer there so many opportunities postgrad too. I think that's really impressive because something that maybe a lot of people don't know is that the majority of our students actually come from out of state, so the fact that so many students are choosing to stay I think.
Again really just shines Light on how great Baltimore is in the great opportunities. But I see you have more questions. I love questions. The next question from Jacob right. It says uh? What would you say made your transition to college easier? Yeah, so I think there are a few different things one of them is the summer orientation that we have so in June. Once you choose. The deposit here. You'll have a summer orientation session where you get to meet other students in your grade. You'll get to kind of register for classes early you get to kind of have that starting point where.
You feel like OK, I've been on campus. I have all of these things ready to go for the fall. I know what my classes are going to be and there are so many professors that are around that day to kind of help. You if you don't know what classes to take or anything like that, so that was really, really helpful in my transition. And In addition to that. We have a fall welcome weekend as soon as you do a ride or move in here on campus. You'll be attending follow-up weekend events that's when you get to know the other students who are going to be in your machine a program with you will get to know your Evergreen that upperclassmen mentor that I was mentioning.
And I ended up being really, really close with my Evergreen. I actually still talk to her. She's in grad school now at Loyola and so it was really nice to be able to kind of form that relationship. That's carried on I think all of those things made it pretty easy to transition to college, even though sometimes it can be a tough transition academically and all of that there was just so much support here.
Cole
05:22:12 PM
Will this be available later if a student is unable to view?
Fantastic this next question says even though loyalist Catholic are there any spaces or communities for Protestants too. I will answer just not for any specific religion but for all religions or faith practices. You do not have to be Catholic or Christian to come to Loyola. We are very open and accepting community. We also have a number of spaces on campus. So if you want to just like practice your faith on campus.

05:22:59 PM
Hi Cole, yes this will be available afterwards, it is recorded live and the recording will be posted after the event on our Online Events page.
Can do that here we also have something called interfaith ministries? Which is specifically working with students of all different fates. I think one of the great things they do is that if there isn't a space on campus that you feel comfortable. You know practicing your faith. In they will help you find you know, either church or a parish or you know, whatever that space is they'll help you find transportation to that to that place and overall we're just a very welcoming and accepting community and I don't know if you have anything to.
Tomi
05:23:21 PM
Is financial aid a lot? And did it make a significant factor in your decision?
I mean, I'm not friends with practice different religions here on campus and there's I don't think any kind for preference for one over the other obvious that seems rooted in the Catholic judgment ideals, but students are forced mass or anything like that. Those options are there for students we'd like to pursue them but they're purely optional.
Patrick
05:23:38 PM
hello! I was wondering how often Loyola students get a chance to go out and explore Baltimore?
Patrick
05:23:42 PM
also, how do students interact with the Jesuit mission? thanks so much!
All right uhm the next wanted to do what exactly are placement exams. That's a good question. Basically, you'll placement exam is going to be a test. You're going to take prior to you know when you get on campus. That's going to determine what level you would start at for certain areas specifically for math and for language. So you would take those placement tests with the knowledge that you currently have as a senior in high school and that would determine what level you would start at in classes.
Here so that didn't make sense please. Feel free to ask again. If I answered your question. But that's basically what a placement test is this next wanted to do? How do you go through the process for declaring a major OK so basically I will first start off by saying that all incoming first year students are technically undecided or cancel my finger.
So basically uh everyone comes in on the same level even though you might know a major. You want to study. No one can declare their major until the end of the first year so you can take classes in the in the things that that you might want to study but you can't declare until the end of your first year, you have up until your second semester sophomore year to declare major so if anyone's not sure you have a lot of time to go. You know, and explore different areas. Did you have anything you wanted to add sure I mean? I think it's very easy to switch to?
One of the nice things about loyal is that we have this core curriculum so my advice would be to kind of start with those core classes that kind of General Ed classes. Some might call them on your first year here loyal and then like maybe take a few classes for a potential major that you're thinking about. But the nice thing is for most of our students here if you come into loyal start of like one class for a major you're thinking about decide you hate it and you want to switch it's very easy to do that. When you're accepted to lawyer accepted to the whole University so every school in the University so it is very easy to switch.
Yeah, so it's not like you're going to be accepted to the Business School and then you're stuck in the Business School forever unless you want to reapply you can kind of switch around between school so if you started off as like a math major and decide if you want to be a classics. Major you can do that pretty pretty easy so easy just going in and just saying I want to be a major. It's not it's not hard at all, so we have, like an office here on campus where you'll go and there's literally like a form you fill out you'll need your beginning scene advisor signature on it.
And they'll just change it, it's very, very easy to do so. Let's have comfortable there. You go there, you go? I love saying 'cause, sometimes you'll hear people say, Oh yes, I was admitted to the Business School or something like that. If you hear your friend, saying that it's not true. They were admitted to the University right so that includes all the schools, so it's like a joke. I like to tell. I don't know if it's funny or not Oh well anyway. Let's see the next question is, is financial aid. A lot and did it make a significant significant factor in your decision I think I'll take the first part, yeah, so.
I will say that one up. It's really going to depend on the person in the family. UM we do have a really good. Um financial aid. You know program so we do our best to give students as much as we possibly can, but again, it's going to depend on you know family information tax information income. All that kind of stuff. I think the best way to find out what you could receive in 8, is to apply financially so submit the facts.
Brandon
05:27:04 PM
how many students per dorm room? How many dorms are there?
Alex
05:27:05 PM
How's the food
Cam
05:27:06 PM
What is the core curriculum like at Loyola??
Submit the CSS profile up and see what we're able to offer you in 80, something else. I know is that financial aid includes not just grants but also loan so side, something to think about is that you know it's going to include all different types of aid.
Now, if I say something else and I completely lost. Oh, another thing I'll say is that a lot of people I will hear say, Oh, we already know that we're not gonna qualify for financial aid. what I would say to that to that is again. Please just apply and see because we use the CSS S profile were often able to package families who didn't think they were going to receive anything so please just apply and see what we're able to offer typically were able to offer packages up to an average on average.
Between 3235 thousand dollars for families again that's not a guarantee for anyone but on average were able to offer a good amount of money so again please apply and then the other part yeah so I mean I'm not going to disclose anything about my personal financial aid but I will say loyal was pretty generous to me in comparison to some of the other schools that I applied to.
This was my first choice kind of from the start, so I wouldn't say it was like the deciding factor for me, but it was nice to have so yeah, I think I think like you were saying it will depend on the family. But I'd say overall toilet's pretty good job of getting students financially.
You know what can I heard uh? Let's see we have a lot of questions. I love it. Up to do this one says? How often how often do little a students get a chance to go out and explore. But yeah, so there are so many events that are sponsored through loyal that kind of guitar students out into the city exploring different areas, so we have something called our options program here at Loyola and so basically they offer opportunities for students at very discounted prices, which is always super nice so sometimes sporting events things like that, they'll do really cheap.
Amanda
05:29:11 PM
Are students allowed to bring their cars?
Orioles games pretty cheap, Ravens games, 2 things like that to kind of get our students out into the city. Sometimes they'll have like shuttles that will go down to the charmer here to see a movie time really good ice cream place that we have here so if you come visit. You have to check that out, too, so many different options. We also have our campus activities board or cabin so they sponsored trips out into Baltimore City every once in a while as well. So our campus activities board. They also do activities here on campus as the name would suggest they did 500. I think last year in there shooting for 900 this year, so definitely stuff to do in a lot of the.
That is out in Baltimore city as well, and just kind of on a general basis. It's very easy for us to get downtown. There's so many different little neighborhoods in Baltimore that are really cool. They all kind of have different vibes, so that which is a lot of fun and they're all very accessible so they're not not far away.
I go I go there all the time, Yeah.
Uh let's see what else did you do the next question from Patrick also how to students interact with the Jesuit mission? Yeah, that's a really good question. I think I think the way that I kind of see the judgment mission reflected in most on our campuses through this idea that this phrase called Cura Personalis. That means care of the whole person so that's something that I think that I see the most in our students here is just students who are really well, rounded in a lot of different ways, so are you.
Doing well in the classroom are taking advantage of activities and things like that different events on campus. Just kind of a very well, rounded education. That's one of the things that I really like about Loyola and that's kind of where I see that Jesuit mission come through the most that's something I've kind of valued throughout my 4 years here.
I think just the uh so I'll preface that I was not a student here. But I think some where some places that I see it just as someone who works here is even through kind of like the requirements for students like again going back to the cure personality here for the whole person the whole philosophy in terms of Education is that they want to be well, rounded so that's why this kind of answers a question was coming over the core is that we want you to know a lot about your intended major of course, but they want students to walk away.
Tosin Akintola
05:31:19 PM
Hi Amanda, freshman are typically not allowed to have cars on campus as parking is typically reserved for sophomores and above, however students do have a myriad of different transportation options often at no cost at Loyola.
Being able to communicate effectively being able to write like being able to just be a good citizen of your community and the world and I think that that really shows and I think you can see it in the students write in the students like Rebecca here. She's so well, rounded, she's so well spoken and I think that yeah right.
Think that you could just see it through the the what the what we produce which is amazing students and just one thing to add to that core curriculum requirement just about like some of the specific classes that you'll be taking it's usually around somewhere between 13 and 16 classes throughout your 4 years here on that number will vary depending on how many semesters of the language that you'll be taking here. But there are requirements in science, math, philosophy, theology, ethics foreign language, missing missing a few English.
History actually all the all the things you could think.
Colleen
05:32:05 PM
how does studying abroad fit into your course schedule and can you only do it Junior year
Corrinne
05:32:09 PM
Are there any school wide activities, such as school formal or informal dances?
Jake
05:32:12 PM
I was also wondering Patrick's question with how much students get to explore the city fo Baltimore? As well, how is your alumni bases and interaction with present students? Thank you very much
Sophie
05:32:20 PM
How are housing assignments made? If you pay your deposit earlier, are you assigned housing early?
They're all listed online as well so if you wanted to like take a look through our core curriculum. You could find it there and correct me if I'm wrong, but you typically be taking 1 lower level and one upper level. And, yes, so that's generally the way it will work will be a lower level, which is kind of like a one hundred level intro, and then something that's like a little bit more specific as well. I really like the core because I do think that it's an opportunity to explore a lot of different areas that you might not be think you're interested in and then you'll find out that it's really, really cool.
I think it makes us more well rounded. I think it makes us more marketable to just kind of going out into the real world looking for jobs and things like that. It's nice to have a background in a lot of different things.
No, I think that's the beauty of going to a a liberal arts schools well, um. Let's see I know we're like these are flowing in.
Tosin Akintola
05:33:11 PM
Hi Sophia, housing selection is done through a random process after the May 1st deadline. Depositing earlier does not give you preferential housing.
So it will generally be too in a bedroom. So we do have the different housing styles here, but it will generally be. You in a direct roommate that are sharing one bedroom and then there are like apartment options, sweet style that look style.
Typically, for out for first year students there typically or you're typically going to be in either the suite style which like she says. 2 people in a room and then you might share a bathroom. We also have the more like traditional communal style which will be still again. 2 people in a room with in there might be like a larger bathroom on the floor that everyone on the floor. Shares what I will say is that after that, and I'm sure recommend test. This is that the option just get better, so after that, you can be in your apartment with.
Full size kitchen living space, the whole thing, so but those are the housing options.
House here now is a senior it's a Loyola owns townhouse and so it's still on campus housing, but it's myself in 3 roommates 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms a full kitchen full living room full dining room. We have our own laundry. So it feels very adult we really like it.
Awesome awesome how's the food?
The big question of the food is gone, not even lying to you. The food is good. There are so many different options here for our students. So we have, like 3 different main dining halls here on campus. And so I usually go to Boulder, which is like our most central dining Hall. I would say just so many choices. My favorite is the Mediterranean salad bar. I really, really like that. You can kind of customize your own salad. They do different specials throughout the week, they'll always have like pizza pasta.
Henri
05:34:43 PM
What makes Loyola different from the other colleges in the Baltimore/Maryland area?
All kinds of stuff, Taco Tuesdays. This lead you like to switch it out for us and keep us keep it interesting so you're not just eating the same, like 3 things. There's always really good ice cream in Boulder, so lots of good options.
Suggest someone who again did not go to the Loyola when I started working here and I saw all the food options. They had I was like it's so many there are so many food options is alive. The food is very good. Yes, I I agree with that. Yeah, I see Towson already answered the question about bringing cars on campus. Think to see him. This is a great question. I think how does studying abroad fit into your course schedule and can you only do it junior? Yeah, that's a really good question so the way it will fit into your course schedule generally that's one of the next things about having a quart.
Regulam here, too, is because you can save alot of those core classes for studying abroad so any classes that you're taking overseas will count towards your degree audits in order to go abroad. You need to kind of like proving your application that you'll be able to take classes there that will count towards your degree here at Royal us. You're not just like taking Brandon classes that don't count for anything. So when I was for example, when I was studying abroad in Cape Town last year. I took a history course, which accounted for my history minor here at Loyola I took my philosophy.
Amanda
05:36:11 PM
What are the required religion classes students have to take?
Tosin Akintola
05:36:18 PM
Hi Amanda, As part of Loyola's core curriculum, all students must take two theology courses.
Or class accounted for my core curriculum and I took one political science class accounted for my major so there are so many advisors here on campus. That includes your major advisor that you'll have coming into loyal and that also includes our office of international programs and they're very available to help you plan based on your specific schedule. Your specific major but they will make sure that you're able to take classes for abroad that do you know you're still graduating in 4 years? Which is very convenient. I think the second was the 2nd part?
So if you're going for a semester or for a full year that will generally be an option for junior year. However, we do have a lot of opportunities to kind of go overseas outside of your junior year. So we have summer programs where you can take a class like a little summer semester. I know France is a big one for that. There are a few more and you can do that at any point throughout your 4 years here during whatever summer he would like to. We also have study tours as well. There was just one to Vietnam for 10 days so for 12 days so they're definitely.
Tosin Akintola
05:37:12 PM
theology is a wide discipline, and often is more speech/debate/philosophy based than religious. We have a good number of theology majors who are pre-law students and the courses are always highly recommended by current students.
A lot of options, even if you can't go first semester or for a year your junior year that you'll still be able to go overseas and kind of experience. You can go as early as sophomore year gently generally most of the students will go junior year. I think it's pretty like specific circumstances. If you're going to go outside of that time period, if it's first semester were free here.
Noelle
05:37:49 PM
what is the typical size of a larger class compared to a smaller one
Let's see do the next one is Oh yeah are there any schoolwide activities such as school formal or informal insert yeah, so there definitely are there I know the residence Hall Association, so RHA. They put on a winter formal every year at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, which is always a lot of fun. One of my favorite events is loyal, a palooza. It's really cool event that we have it's usually right before the end of classes for the year. So we'll have a different musical artist that comes in and performs.
Tippy
05:37:58 PM
Are there lots of internships or co-op opportunities and are they pretty easy to get?
Cailin
05:38:00 PM
Could you talk a little about the Honors Program? Thanks!
Or uh some and then always all students will go to that. It's like a carnival concert kind of mix crossover and that's always a lot of fun. So we've had like T pain before we had all American rejects all these different groups so that's always a lot of fun very nice very nice, the questions.
Hum I see Towson answering the housing question. Did you do? did I miss one this Baltimore? Question there was a question about alumni? I'll just quickly say that alumni are very, very involved. There are a lot of opportunities to come back. I know a lot of there a lot of events that we host campus why that alone will come back to was like the bullet oyster rolls and stuff like that homecomings alot of alone will come back to that anything else to add in terms of the line. Those are those are the big ones, but we definitely do have a lot of alumni.
Tosin Akintola
05:38:46 PM
Hi Noelle, our classes range from 15-20 on average, with no class being larger than 30-35
Um answered the housing question what makes Loyola different from other colleges in the Baltimore MD area.
Cam
05:39:04 PM
What are the housing like? Do most upperclassmen dorm on campus or they move off campus in apartments?
Paige
05:39:20 PM
When do financial aid packages come out?
I have an answer, but do you wanna chime in turn sure I think I mean? I I'd say for me, um just one of the things that stood I built in a lot of other schools in Baltimore. Like I said earlier. One of the things that really stood out to me about Loyola is the fact that there's such a focus on being well, rounded that's something that I was also looking for in a school kind of this opportunity to grow in a lot of different ways, not just academically, but also personally as well, and so I think that.
That Loyola is particularly focused on kind of the growth of the whole person rather than just.
The student side that makes sense, yeah, yeah, it's interesting I think.
Tosin Akintola
05:39:44 PM
Hi Paige, Financial Aid packages start coming out February 1st.
From an outside perspective, seeing a school that is so focused on um like a mission right a mission for their students, which is to go out and be great systems in the world.
Alex
05:40:18 PM
What is the first week on campus like for freshmen?
I think you can kind of like feel it as a student like you can feel that mission kind of behind all the things that are going on. I also think just kind of as a general answer. We are a very small school very close knit community based so if you're looking for something that's like not too big but not so small that like you know, there's nothing to do I think that we are that perfect that perfect place to be if that's what you want. I also think it's the perfect balance between being able to engage with the city and also having a lot of light green space.
Yeah, it's kind of the perfect mix of both of those were so close to downtown Baltimore. It's very easy for us, so like have that kind of big city feel, but also have this giant like academic quad where we can bring out hammocks and some more nice days. It's like the perfect in between one hundred centigrade.
Natalie
05:40:48 PM
Hello, I was wondering how different the Accepted Students open house is from regular open houses. Also, would you recommend attending an open house or a Shadow Day if only able to attend one?
Liz
05:40:59 PM
Is housing guaranteed all 4 years? or is it common for students to live off campus?
Talked about theology, I would say definitely look at Towson's answer because it's very, very UM. Accurate answer I would say. Let's see what is a typical size of a larger class compared to a smaller one. I think the largest classes can be about like 50, depending on the size or those are pretty rare. Sometimes that, like intro to bio and showed us like stuff like that. Those would be a little bit on the larger side. But I mean, most of the classes that I've taken here just in my major.
Abby
05:41:22 PM
How do you choose housing?
Haven't been larger than 30 so yeah, and then you could have a class as small as 6 people. I had a six person class life. My first year here, so that's definitely possible to yes that's in our average class size is 20 and we have a 12 to one student faculty ratio just throw those numbers out there, too, um, let's see.
To do this question about internships, the question is, are there a lot of internships or Co op opportunities and are they pretty easy to get so yeah, so I mean, I was mentioning a little bit earlier, about my internship this past semester on Capitol Hill that was something that I apply for independently. But I had kind of loyal to help me go through the process. A little bit and help me if I had any questions about that process. Generally, every major or every Department will have an advisor who's in charge of internships research opportunities and things like that for that specific Department.
Tosin Akintola
05:42:12 PM
Hi Abby, housing is done by random selection after the May 1st deadline, and during the orientation process. Students can also select their roommates if they already have one in mind.
Amanda
05:42:26 PM
What are the dorms like?
So that's definitely something you'll find out a little bit more about once you get on campus. But it is very common for students to have opportunities like that in science? Is there's lots of opportunities for research like over the summer and things like that as well, easy to get I would say it just depends on what program it is what internship you're applying for it is pretty common for our students to have at least 1 internship before they graduate, though so.
Would you consider an you can internal offsetting abroad as well so?
Corrinne
05:42:35 PM
What is the gap year policy?
This is a great question for you 'cause you're being honest program. Uhm so feel free to take it away. Yeah, so the Honors Program. Here, the way that I like to think about it. It's kind of like an elevated core curriculum. So I've been in the honors program since my first year here at Loyola. I've loved it, it's been a really great experience so as part of the Honors Program. You'll be taking an elevated core So what I mean by that is, instead of having to take like a 200 level, philosophy or something like that. You have to take it 300 level or instead of having to take a 300 level history left take.
400 level that's kind of like what I mean by that that elevated core. There's also a specific program for 1st and 2nd year. Students here through the honors program called the human drama sequence that actually knocks out all of your lower level, core requirements. It's kind of an overall I guess kind of study of human history, which sounds really, really daunting, but it's done in a really cool way. I would say you look at the ancient world. The Medieval World Renaissance modern in the modern world, so those.
Tosin Akintola
05:43:41 PM
Hi Corrine, if you take a gap year, you will have to reapply the following year. We will still have your materials on file, but you will have to resubmit the common app. We will also need a brief statement about what you did during your gap year and mos importantly, you cannot take any college courses during that time.
Jake
05:44:03 PM
Are your professors typically available outside of there classes for you to speak to them and get help?
Horses will span throughout your first two years or verse four semesters here at Loyola will also have a class called Eloquentia, Perfecta, which is like kind of like a writing and public speaking mix class on that means perfect elements in Latin. So it's kind of a classroom like public speaking writing all of that good stuff. Some perks of the Honors Program. I would say really small class sizes. Even smaller than that kind of our normal class sizes here at Loyola. There will generally be around 50 students, 40 to 50 students per grade level that are in the honors program mine here is a little bit smaller.
Amanda
05:44:14 PM
Are there restaurants and places outside of the cafeteria to get food?
I think we have 27 now, so we all know each other really, really well and it's a program. It's kind of expanded over the years, there are some parts of the honors program to all of our professors really alert great but I think the honors. Professors are the best of the best really, really great really experienced professors like I said my best friends are in the Honors Program. I've really enjoyed getting to know all of those people. There's lots of different trips. There's like a free banquet that we have in the beginning of the year so it's a lot of fun nice sounds.
Definitely I would say if you're thinking about flying uhm. It's worth a shot right so just because I know it is like a fairly competitive program. But I think if you're thinking about it if you're interested in the things that were back with talk about death. We just apply and see what happens also it has absolutely no effect on your admission at all, so it's completely separate so something else think about. I know that we might be running a little short on time again for anyone who joined us a little bit later. This is going to be posted on online so.
You are welcome to go back and look at it after uh because I know some of these things we've already talked about in terms of like dorms and housing and things like that, but again if you don't answer your question, we might reach out to you. After this event as well. But we're going to try and answer. All of them. Let's see do I saw a question that I wanted us to answer now I lost it.
Oh it was up here Towson answered his question but I repeated just in case financially packages are going to come out February 1st going to be in the Mail so they might go with Mail on February 1st they might get you a little bit afterwards but you can expect something around that time if you have questions about financial aid please please reach out to the financial aid office you're welcome to reach out to us but they are extremely knowledgeable their email addresses just financial aid at Loyola dot Edu.
Or you can give them a call um, but they are the best resource for financial aid related questions.
Amanda
05:46:40 PM
If students have taken AP classes in high school, what are the benefits while attending?
Kiera
05:46:42 PM
If we applied to the Honors Program when do we hear back?
Another question that I know, yeah, this one, so how how is the accepted student open house different from the regular student? Open house the answer? Is there there pretty different in that one. You get to be with other accepted students, which I think is a great benefit in and of itself. You could just see the people that you might be spending the next 4 years with it's a lot more. I think it's one is smaller than the fall. Open house 'cause the fall. One is open to just like anyone whereas the accepted one is only for accepted students grow so it's going to be smaller.
Abby
05:46:45 PM
Is there specific housing for freshmen?
Noelle
05:46:48 PM
How is campus life outside of the classroom and also how is the school spirit?
Academic sessions are longer, so you really get to kind of get a more in depth look at the major or just any type of program that you're interested in. We also have something that's unique to the accepted open house in that you can attend an information fair, which is basically even if you don't attend an academic session. We will still have representatives from all the academic departments as well as student services and some student groups at this information fair, so you can go around talk to them get your questions.
Answered talk with of current students will be at the information fair. So I think that that in and of itself is a great reason to come and attend the accepted student open house.
Join at that I think either the second part of the question about um open house or sad or.
I would say shouted just because then you get a little bit more of an in depth look at like a specific class that you might want to see a specific area of campus is a little bit more personalized website. You get to chat with one of our Greyhound. Abbasid yrs so that would be my recommendation if you can't come to both.
The Shadow Day is I would say my only I agree with you. I would say if you've never visited campus before my recommended the open house right 'cause you still get that tour. I mean, you get it or with both.
Yeah, I would say if you've been here before it can only do one do a shadow day. But I agree with that. And if you've never I think that the accepted student open house is a great introduction. If you like never been and then you, also get some other stuff, too, so yeah.
We've got to do our professors typically available outside of their classes for you to speak to them and get help? Absolutely. I'm like best friends with my advisor here, so I talked about the time about different things. There are always available, so every professor has office hours that they are open to students to be able to come in and chat about class or just kind of chat about anything most of the time a lot of our professors are really open to talking to our students about different things. So definitely a lot of availability.
Most of them are also available pretty much all the time by email. And things like that, too. So I mean, I can speak to my professor. They've been absolutely awesome. Throughout my throat. My 4 years here so I would definitely say. Yeah, there really available, yeah, yeah definitely.
Tosin Akintola
05:49:24 PM
Hi Kiera, you will start hearing back from the Honors Program by February 1st.
Abby
05:49:27 PM
What are the visitation policies and overnight stay process?
There's a lot about housing, yeah again. I would say gold definitely feel free to look back at this, or go online to look at housing options or come and visit and you can see the housing options that we have, I did want to answer again also about restaurants. There is such great food and restaurant. We have a whole mess around guide here in our office.
You know the food is great in Baltimore. This one question, though I think is important about AP classes. So if you have taken or are taking any AP or IB classes.

Hi Abby, as long as they have ID they will be able to sign in at the resident hall desk for a visit. They can stay as long as they wish provided they have followed proper resident hall protocol.
Do you accept them for credit so actually if you go to our website like the general loyal website and type in AP slash Ivy. We have a full list of all of the classes that we accept the scores that should need to have gotten on the test to get credit and exactly what they translate to at Loyola. So to answer your question what's the benefit is that those are fewer classes that you need to take right to graduate you're required to have about 120 credits just in general so.
If you come in with you know 123. However, many AP or IB credits then that's fewer classes. You have to take or more space to take other classes that you might want to in place of those you know like 10101 level classes, basically so definitely consider if you have AP credit to transfer that over.

and there are certain resident halls that are specific to underclassmen
Try and think we might take I think 2 more questions and then again. If we don't answer yours. We will reach out to separately uhm. I think I just saw it. We talked about housing campus like this whole classroom. One of the Visitation policies an overnight stay process, he did OK OK.
Anything else that you see here that she.
In most of those recovered.

but freshman aren't restricted in the housing they can request
I mean, I can talk just kind of generally about the residence halls because yeah because they're not questions about them here.
So we were just recently ranked number 10 in the country by the Princeton Review for housing.

Is the AP and IB situation the same for dual-enrolled credits being accepted?

How are your sports and intramural sports activities?
About 80% of our students will live on campus all 4 years here at loyal. I will don't campus. All 4 years. So my first year I was in kind of sweet style of of.
Meaning remain a bedroom and then there were two more roommates and we shared a bathroom with them. That was for my first year housing. My software in my junior year. I was in an apartment with a six person apartment. It was massive it was almost too big for 6 people. It was absolutely huge kitchen living room dining room 3. Bedrooms 2 bathrooms for 6 people. So it was really, really nice. That was my software your end my first semester junior before I went abroad and then like I said earlier this year. I'm going to town house.
Really really nice, the nice thing is like if you ever have any kind of issues with maintenance or anything like that. We have made and stuff. There are always available to do repairs and anything like that, for free. It's just really.

Hi Oluwatomisin, the AP and IB credit transfer process is outlined on our website, it differs depending on the grade you receive. We typically only accept a 4 or 5
General overview of house is really nice is really is really nice, really don't want stores online so we want to take a look online. We have those available, but again, please come visit. I know you might if you're attending this online event. It may be, because you're not able to visit but if you do have the opportunity definitely come and see the person also for heating and air conditioning on Wi-Fi. Windows open, windows open, so it's all good things. Yeah, maybe will do these last 2 and then will rap it up. This 1st question is AP and IB the same for dual enrolled.

You can find more on that here: https://www.loyola.edu/department/academic-advising/students/first-year/ap-ib-college-courses
Um credits being accepted I know that toasted Lily just posted the answer. But I will say as well. Um that AP and IB is going to be slightly different from dual enrollment classes. The bare bones answer is that if you are trying to transfer dual enrollment credits. Basically, it's going to be required that the class be taught by a college professor, and either be taken at the college or with other college students. Those are the standards set in place by our academic advising.

Hi Jacob, we have D-1 sports, Club Sports, Inter mural Sports and Recreational sports!
Office uhm I think toasted also just posted the link where you can go and actually see the full list of all of the requirements and the documents that academic advising is going to require to assess whether we can accept that credit. But those 2 things aren't too right. Those 2 things are what you're going to need so you need to make sure that you know it was taught by college professor taken with other costumes or on the campus. Those are the bare bones minimum and then this last question. How are your sports an intramural sports activities and I think we just answer that one.
Do you wanna try that and I remember there was a question about uhm school spirit you can drop it up on that, so we already won score part of the Patriot League are I think our biggest for here is lacrosse football team building process like our football here at loyalism. Those games are always a lot of fun on those game days are students will be taken like by shuttle over to really athletic complex, which is sort of like pretty large sports arena work like this lacrosse game soccer games at all or played a lot of turn out, especially for the big boil Hopkins rivalry game.
That's always a lot of fun so definitely. I would say a lot of Spear, particularly with lacrosse on the basketball game. There's always like free stuff being given away too. Sometimes they'll have little like Tailgates in our student center with free food and all of that as well. But yeah, a lot of students go to the games. I say particularly soccer, basketball and lacrosse or like the Big 3 Intermural Sports. There's tons of options, there as well. So a bunch of my friends there on a basketball team. They have one of her friends was like not great at basketball field dress up as the coach and so he goes everywhere like a full suit to the game so.
It's just a lot of fun. I'm for students who might not want to like do the Super serious work. It's only kind of get involved with lots of options. There club sports are really big, too, as well and then just to tie it all up would you say would you say school spirit is like? Yeah, I mean? I would say our students here are really, really involved. They really do love loyal. I mean, like I said, I live 30 minutes up the road. Not like not so much. I'm usually here on campus. Just 'cause there's so much to do. There's so many opportunities, I think Loyola just overall is like a really.
Friendly campus everyone kind of knows one another. Everyone is super nice and so it's just kind of nice to have that kind of welcoming atmosphere right off the bat. I think as a first year student. But even continuing into my senior year. I would say I know personally about maybe I would say like no or no around like 400 of 1000 students in my class, which I think is like a pretty good pretty good number. But there's always more people to meet which is also really nice. So I just think that kind of atmosphere is really important.
Definitely in again to drive it home and overtaking the whole time, but come visit and see for yourself. I feel like you can't look without seeing students decked out in like the hoodies and backpacks and it has like I think people really love the students here love loyal, they love being here with that. It's going to include our vent. Thank you so, so much for all the interaction. The questions absolutely love questions because that's what we're here for again. If you miss it. My name is Chanel Greer. I'm an admission representative here.
