Visit Opportunities For Accepted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Loyola University Maryland! As you take the next steps in your college selection process, we encourage you to take advantage of one of our many visit opportunities. Whether you join us on the Evergreen campus or participate in an online event, each of our visit options is designed to support you during this important stage of the process.

  • If you have a date in mind to visit the Evergreen campus, please use the calendar below to select your visit date, and view which programs are available on that day.
  • If you do not have a date in mind, we recommend viewing the different visit options below and then selecting which date is right for you.

All students must register using their Applicant Status Portal credentials. If a parent/guardian would like to register for a visit option, please register using your student's name and information.

Accepted Student Days

Accepted Student Days are our most comprehensive visit experiences and will be offered on the following Saturdays in the spring semester: February 15, March 22, and April 12. During these events, accepted students and their families will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from the president of Loyola
  • Attend academic and special interest information sessions
  • Meet with faculty and administrators
  • Tour the Evergreen campus with current students
  • Attend an information fair featuring student clubs and organizations
  • Visit our state-of-the-art Fitness and Aquatic Center

First Generation at Loyola: A Journey to Success

Hosted on April 11 by the Office of Undergraduate Admission—in coordination with the Thrive Center for Student Success—this event offers an opportunity for first-generation college students to connect with current students, faculty, administrators, and staff to explore resources and campus support systems.

During this full-day event, you will have the chance to:

  • Learn more about the resources offered by the Thrive Center for Student Success
  • Take a hidden gems tour to uncover the best-kept secrets on Loyola's campus
  • Hear panel discussions from Loyola's leadership and current students
  • Meet with our financial aid counselors to discuss your specific questions on financing college education
  • Eat lunch with current students, faculty, and administrators

Throughout the program you’ll have ample time to ask questions, gather more information, and experience Loyola’s campus and community firsthand.

Shadow Days

Shadow Days are a great way for an accepted student to experience life as a Greyhound. Offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the spring semester, shadow days are an ideal visit option if you have previously visited campus or are in the final stages of making your college decision. During your visit, you will:

  • Observe a Loyola class
  • Tour campus with a Greyhound Ambassador
  • Spend 1-on-1 time with a current Loyola student
Please note: While students participate in the Shadow Day experience, parents or guardians are welcome to join a general information session and campus tour.

Accepted Student Information Sessions & Campus Tours

We offer information sessions and campus tours for accepted students and their families on most weekdays and select Saturdays in the spring. As an accepted student, you will:

  • Attend a 25-minute tailored presentation that outlines the next steps in your college selection process
  • Learn about academics, student life, internship opportunities, and career outcomes at Loyola
  • Join a current student for a guided tour of the Evergreen campus (campus tours last approximately 60 minutes and depart immediately after the 25-minute information session)

Financial Aid Video Chats

Our 1-on-1 Financial Aid Video Chats are your opportunity to speak directly with a representative from our Office of Financial Aid. During these video chats, you can:

  • Discuss the financial aid application process
  • Ask questions about grants, loans, student employment opportunities including Federal Work-Study, and more

Accepted Student Regional Events

Accepted students and their families are invited to join us for one of our accepted student regional receptions. These receptions are hosted off-campus at different locations throughout the country, and provide families the opportunity to meet:
