Visit Opportunities for Accepted Students

Congratulations on your admission to Loyola University Maryland! As you continue the next steps in your college selection process, we recommend taking advantage of one of our many visit opportunities. Whether you join us on the Evergreen campus, or participate in online chats, each of our visit options are tailored to help you during this importance stage in the college process.

  • If you have a date in mind to visit the Evergreen campus, please use the calendar below to select your visit date, and view which programs are available on that day.
  • If you do not have a date in mind, we recommend viewing the different visit options below and then selecting which date is right for you.

All students must register using their Applicant Status Portal credentials. If a parent/guardian would like to register for a visit option, please register using your student's name and information.

Accepted Student Open Houses

Accepted Student Open houses are our most comprehensive visit experiences and will be offered on the following Saturdays in the spring semester: February 15, March, 14 and April 18. During these events, accepted students and their families will have the opportunity to hear from the president of Loyola, attend academic and special interest information sessions, meet with faculty and administrators, tour the Evergreen campus with current students, attend an information fair for our student clubs and organizations, and visit our state-of-art Fitness and Aquatic Center.

Shadow Days

Shadow Days are a great way for an accepted student to experience life on campus as a Greyhound. Offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the school year, shadow days are an ideal visit option if you have previously visited campus or are in the final stages of making your college decision. During your visit, you will attend a class with a current student, meet their professor, and take a personalized tour of campus. During this time, parents/guardians are welcome to participate in a general information session and campus tour.

Accepted Student Information Session & Campus Tour

We offer information sessions and campus tours for accepted students and their families on most weekdays and select Saturdays year-round. As an accepted student, you will be given a unique presentation designed to explain the next steps of your college selection process. You will also learn more about academics, student life, internship opportunities, and career outcomes at Loyola. After this 35-minute presentation, you and your family can join a current student for a guided tour of the Evergreen campus. Campus tours last about 60 minutes and will depart following the group information session.

Online Chats

Interested in learning more about Loyola, but don't have the time to visit campus? Through our online chats, students and families can participate in a webinar-style chat with current faculty, students and staff members. These chats cover a variety of topics, from academic programs and career services, to student life, financial aid, and studying abroad. Online chats are offered throughout the year and recordings of the chats are posted online after each event.

Accepted Student Regional Events

Accepted students and their families are also welcome to join us for one of our accepted student regional receptions. These receptions are hosted off-campus at different locations throughout the country, and allow families the opportunity to meet and talk with admission and financial aid counselors, Loyola faculty, student life administrators, alumni, and parents of current students.
